With our multi-operation, quick-connection and remote controlled release, coupled with a record breaking 4000 mT load, the LiftLOK-4000-QCT is the latest addition to our fleet of lifting tools for 2024.
The LiftLOK-4000-QCT provides an easy to use and safer alternative to traditional shackle methods.
The LiftLOK-4000-QCT can be remotely guided into the receptacle using the nose-mounted camera and the connection status verified using the linear transducer monitoring system. This information is then transmitted, latency free, to the vessel control room.
Using the ‘ball & groove’ method the tool mechanically locks to the receptacle.
The LiftLOK-4000-QCT can then be remotely disconnected. In case of issues with with vessel equipment, the LiftLOK-4000-QCT benefits from a fully integrated redundancy operating system.
The Empire Wind 1 project, located on the US Outer Continental Shelf (OCS) off the New York State coast, comprises the installation of 54 wind turbine generator foundations.
The LiftLOK QCT, with two receptacles, will fulfil the requirements for the lifting, upending, installing, and hammer installation of the wind turbine generator monopile foundations.
The transportation and installation program will use Heavy Lift Vessel (HLV) Thialf as the main installation vessel.
